Visitor & Tourist Map Maker
A visitor map helps a first-time guest understand entrances, destinations and essential services. Start with paths people can actually use, then organize buildings, colors and a clear legend around that journey.

Start with the visitor's journey
Answer three practical questions: where do I enter, what can I visit, and where can I find help? Make the main entrance and visitor center easy to spot. Use consistent symbols for toilets, parking, food and rest areas. Marketing priorities do not always match the information a guest needs first.
Give major attractions a clear label hierarchy rather than making every location equally prominent. Keep longer descriptions outside the main map. A printed version needs to remain readable at its final physical size, including when folded into a brochure.
Keep real paths recognizable
Select an area in YunMap and create a base map, then check paths, bridges, water, boundaries and entrances. Add missing walking paths using verified site information. Closed paths and restricted areas should not appear as recommended visitor routes.
When adding building illustrations, plants and labels, keep junctions and entrances visible. An illustrated landmark can make a place recognizable, but its placement and name still need checking. Review both the overall view and a close view of busy areas.
Prepare signs and brochures separately
An information board needs a clear orientation, legend and reading point. A brochure has different constraints, including folds and smaller text. Export SVG, PNG or PDF from the editable map and prepare the layout for the intended format rather than shrinking a large board without checking it.
Ask someone unfamiliar with the attraction to find an entrance, a toilet and a chosen destination. If they struggle, simplify labels or improve the hierarchy. Check digital-guide availability and plan entitlements separately before including an interactive guide in the delivery.
Common questions
How is a visitor map different from a road map?
Visitor maps prioritize walking routes, entrances, attractions and guest services. Road maps focus more on the transport network, so they use a different information hierarchy.
Can one map support both signs and tourist brochures?
You can reuse the editable map, but check layout, text size, legend and orientation for each output. Available export quality and watermark options depend on the current plan.
